Winter has finally decided to pay us a visit, just in time for the winter solstice. Perfect excuse for a campfire and good conversation. Clear night sky, Venus and Jupiter dancing under the crescent moon and a shooting star to top it all off!
Keep warm and you’ll be better placed to avoid the winter sniffles. If you do fall prey to a cold, treat yourself to a cup of ginger, lemon and honey tea.
RECIPE for Warming Ginger tea
- Grate or finely slice ginger root enough for 1 teaspoon
- Squeeze half a fresh lemon
- teaspoon local raw honey
- 1 cup boiling water
Pour boiling water over the ginger and lemon. Let steep for 5 minutes. Strain and pour into drinking mug. Stir in the honey. Sip whilst hot.
