Certified organic olive oils infused with certified organic calendula flowers (Calendula officinalis); locally sourced beeswax from Illawarra region; and certified organic raw Shea butter (Vitellaria paradoxa, formerly Butyrospermum parkii)

Calendula is a herb traditionally renowned for its antibacterial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory and wound healing properties.  In topical skin care products it is very helpful in soothing inflamed skin.

Locally sourced beeswax is from hives that are cared for with natural methods (and which produce a most excellent pure cold extracted honey see www.illawarrabees.com.au)

Shea butter is obtained from the nut of a West African tree.  It is rich in nourishing and protective fatty acids and vitamins A, E and F.  I choose to use the raw/unrefined organic product because it is extracted using water and this prevents loss of vitamin content.  (Refined shea butter may lose the vitamin content and usually requires the use chemicals in the extraction process.)
